Hannah Almon Matangos

Hannah is a community-engaged arts worker, multimedia artist, and thespian based in Central Pennsylvania. From rural Pennsylvania to her years in the DMV, Hannah has been rooted in her local arts, music, and theatre scenes. Her passion for public humanities has led her to produce events & podcasts through the interdisciplinary Liberal Arts Collective at Penn State and a constellation of arts programming throughout Centre County, PA, including exhibitions, fiber arts crafting circles, eclectic music festivals, and more, in collaboration with local creatives & organizations.

Hannah is also the Founder & CEO of Calliope Creative Consulting, and she is an instructor for the Penn State College of Art & Architecture. She has been teaching German, film, literature, art history, and even video game studies to undergraduates since 2016. She holds a Ph.D. in German & Visual Studies from Penn State University and a B.A. in Art History & Global Affairs from George Mason University.
