High Visibility is a long-term, collaborative partnership between Art of the Rural and artists & organizations across the continent. We create exhibitions, publications, and media projects that reframe the narrative on rural America and Indian Country to foster sustained exchanges between communities.
High Visibility launched with an exhibition of the same name at the Plains Art Museum, representing a gathering of artists & culture bearers that was on view through May 2021. This exhibition also coincided with the launch of the High Visibility podcast and the wide distribution of the first issue of the free High Visibility newspaper.
In 2025, we launched the new Art of the Rural Podcast and Broadsheet, a Substack publication featuring stories, resources, opportunities, and more from across the field of rural and Native arts and culture.
Email us at info@artoftherural.org and let’s collaborate! Join us on Instagram, Facebook, and Substack to be first in-the-know about upcoming gatherings and join the conversation.
On this podcast, we gather with artists and culture bearers from across rural America and Indian Country to encounter their creative and cultural vision.
