Hannah Almon Matangos

Hannah is a community arts advocate and creative based in Central Pennsylvania. She holds a Ph.D. in German & Visual Studies from Penn State University and a B.A. in Art History & Global Affairs from George Mason University. From rural Pennsylvania to her years in the D.C. area, Hannah has been rooted in her local arts & music scenes. In Central PA, she has helped organize the annual experimental music festival Rhoneymeade Fest. Her passion for public humanities work led her to produce event & podcast series through the interdisciplinary Liberal Arts Collective at Penn State and community-based programming & design at 3 Dots Downtown in State College, PA. She is also the Founding Director of Calliope Creative Consulting, and she is an instructor for the Penn State College of Art & Architecture and German department. She has been teaching German, literature, art history, and visual studies courses to undergraduates since 2016.
